• I Believe in HFA is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to sustaining Holy Family Academy through 2009, and advancing the school for the future.  Through fundraising efforts, marketing campaigns, strategic planning and general support, I Believe in HFA is uniting parents, faculty, current and prospective students, alumni, and community leaders to ensure a future for HFA.

Why did the Sisters of St. Joseph close the school?
 

• They DIDN’T.  As of June 2009 they will no longer own, operate or sponsor Holy Family Academy.  They have given us time to consider other alternatives and the opportunity to take ownership of the school.

• No, to our knowledge and as of this date, the building has not been sold or leased.

• The immediate goal is to continue Holy Family’s mission of providing a Catholic education for girls.  The cost of required renovations to the school building to include boys  at this time are not financially possible.

• At this time we are not.  Again, we will continue the current mission of the school – 9^th through 12^th grade. 

• No.  We have no debt and are not required to repay the Sisters for their financial support.

How much money do we need? 
 

• We believe that $500,000 will be required immediately as a base to solidly advance Holy Family in 2009.

Do we have a Freshman class?
 

• YES!  We currently have 30 Freshman enrolled.  In addition, in September 2008, we will also welcome an additional 3 transfer students.

• In the unlikely event that sufficient funds cannot be raised, donations will be returned on a pro-rata basis, after all expenses have been paid.  Individual donors may choose to have their donations returned, or can designate that their donation be forwarded to a similar charitable foundation.  Donors should seek the advice of their tax advisor.
