HFA will hold our sixth annual VISIONS GALA on Friday, September 28, 2007 at the Liberty House Restaurant in Jersey City. The evening will begin with cocktails at 7:30, followed by dinner at 8:30 and dancing to the music of the Allen Quinn Orchestra.

This year, we are pleased to honor these outstanding and dedicated alumnae:

Mary E. Geibel Smith ’45 – devoted wife of the late Jim Smith…loving mother and grandmother…leader with her dear friend Rose in HFA’s Mothers’ Club and Alumni Mothers’ Guild… chaired HFA Phonathon  …active member of St. Andrew’s Rosary Society…former member of Link 'n Ladies golf association …  retiree from Fitzpatrick and Fitzpatrick … and still dancing!

Sister Grace Eileen (Frances) Forker, SSJ ’49 –inspiring educator and member  of the the Sisters of St. Joseph … gifted teacher in many schools including Pius X HS, Roseto, PA; Holy Family Academy, Bayonne; St. Rose HS, Belmar… principal of Good Counsel HS, Newark….dedicated  pastoral associate at  Our Lady of Providence in Neptuneand  still doing the Irish jig!

Meg Sweeney McDonough ’84 – wife and mother …entrepreneur and community leader as owner/manager of Sweeney Funeral Home, Greenville Memorial Home, manager of Jewusiak Funeral Home…with husband John, owner of Sweeney Livery Service …active in St. Mary’s school community… committee chair, HFA’s Board of Advisors… Gala chair ... and still dancing!

Please gather a table of friends and family and join us for a wonderful evening as we honor these visionary leaders who have made a positive impact on HFA and on the community at large. We encourage you to support our honorees and HFA with an ad and/or sponsorship in the journal. With a sponsorship in honor of our founder, Mother Marcelline, or our first honoree, Sister Joan Immaculate O’Donnell, you provide the opportunity for other Sisters to attend the Gala.  Thank you for your generosity on their behalf. You are also invited to participate in the GALA 50/50.
